Start of February

2/2/24 - First Friday, with extra confession time and evening Mass. Solemnity for the parish, observing the anniversary of the dedication of our church (2/2/22) - it's a "meaty Friday." It is also Candlemas (Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary / Presentation of the Lord) - there will be a blessing of candles (bring them if you have them), and we'll distribute a blessed beeswax candle to each registered household of the parish over the weekend. Overnight Exposition / Adoration in the chapel. --

2/3/24 - First Saturday, with morning Mass and confessions. Feast of St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr, so I will offer the traditional blessing of throats after the morning Mass and the evening vigil Mass. Fr. Nick Marziani will offer the evening vigil Mass, as I have a wedding at St. Patrick Cathedral that afternoon. --

2/4/24 - First Sunday, with monthly potluck following the 11:30 Mass (no Sunday potluck in March, as we'll be in Lent). --

Reminder: Ash Wednesday is on Valentine's Day this year, so if you want to celebrate in any special way, observe it before we get to Ash Wednesday.
